Lawrence Welk SNL style!

One of my childhood memories is of watching the Lawrence Welk Show with my family before watching the Mickey Mouse Club (the 70's version) and this parody on SNL was hilarious--- I just had to share! Enjoy!

Sunday

Well it's been a while since I have written in this here blog....so that is what I am doing this evening. Today I organized my itunes library. Sounds like fun, right? Well after struggling with the computer to change the names of some of the songs and add album photos, I finally figured out how to get it to bend to my will. I AM SHE-RA! or at least that is what I felt like after I accomplished this feat. I got a lot of albums changed with pictures so they look a little better on my ipod when I am listening to it. And it also means I have a lot more music on the darn little thing than I did this weekend. Apparently I listend to my music over and over again this weekend....and as I have our external hard drive hooked to the new computer and someone keeps hogging the new computer....well I couldn't get my ipod updated or add new stuff. I had the song "Serious" in my head from Legally Blonde The Musical. Nice to not being hearing that over and over again....for now. lol. So I will post the song here so you can have it in your head! Enjoy!

Joss Whedon Rocks!

So like when I'm bored I start exploring on the 'net. And my friend, Shawn, had told me about hulu.com . This site allows you to view full length movies and television shows for free. I was looking around seeing what shows were available to check out. I started to watch "Dude, Where's My Car?" but then my son took over the television. (Sometimes I hook the lap top to the TV) Anyway, I watched a couple epsiodes of Fear Itself. That show is pretty cool. I wish they had more than 2 episodes on hulu, but I did find one on nbc.com that was not on hulu. Anyway, I came across one called "Dr. Horrible's Sing-a-long Blog"! I watched it and like OMG! I fell in love with it. Apparently Joss Whedon (creator of my beloved show "Buffy The Vampire Slayer") created this 3 mini episode just for the net. It appeared in the month of July only on drhorrible.com but it is now on hulu. One....Neil Patrick Harris has the best singing voice evah! He is the whole reason I even became interested in "Rent"! (I caught him singing one of the songs on Cindy Crawford's late night show and it blew me away plus gave me super duper chills!)Two....I adored Joss's Once More With Feeling episode of "Buffy" (I even bought the soundtrack! ) Anyway, you really have to check this out. Here is one of the songs:

Check it out here: Dr. Horrible's Sing-a-long Blog let me know what you think.

And if anyone is up to getting me a present you could gift this to me on itunes. lol. Just kidding.

But in the words of Wayne Campbell:

It will be mine, Oh yes, it will be mine!

Hold Tight

This is from the Grindhouse movie "Death Proof" I love the beat! Here are the Lyrics:
Hold tight, count to three,
Gotta stay close by me
And hold tight, sing and shout
Just ride my round-about
And hold tight, shut your eyes, girl,
You suit me for size.
Forget the other guys.
You'll never fall each time you call.
Hold tight, hold tight, hold tight.

Hold tight make me feel
What you say is for real
And hold tight, Carousel, girl,
You'll soon ring my bell
And hold tight, we will fly,
Swinging low, swinging high.
We're gonna make the sky.
You'll never fall each time you call.
Hold tight, hold tight, hold tight.

Hold tight, count to three,
Gotta stay close by me
And hold tight, sing and shout
Just ride my round-about
And hold tight, shut your eyes, girl,
You suit me for size.
Forget the other guys.
You'll never fall each time you call.
Hold tight, hold tight, hold tight.

All Good Things Come to An End

Honestly what will become of me
Don't like reality
It's way too clear to me
But really life is dandy
We are what we don't see
Missed everything daydreaming

[Chorus]
Flames to dust
Lovers to friends
Why do all good things come to an end
Flames to dust
Lovers to friends
Why do all good things come to an end
Come to an end come to an
Why do all good things come to end?
Come to an end come to an
Why do all good things come to an end?

Traveling I only stop at exits
Wondering if I'll stay
Young and restless
Living this way I stress less
I want to pull away when the dream dies
The pain sets in and I don't cry
I only feel gravity and I wonder why

Flames to dust
Lovers to friends
Why do all good things come to an end
Flames to dust
Lovers to friends
Why do all good things come to an end
Come to an end come to an
Why do all good things come to end?
Come to an end come to an
Why do all good things come to an end?

Well the dogs were whistling a new tune
Barking at the new moon
Hoping it would come soon so that they could
Dogs were whistling a new tune
Barking at the new moon
Hoping it would come soon so that they could
Die die die die die

Flames to dust
Lovers to friends
Why do all good things come to an end
Flames to dust
Lovers to friends
Why do all good things come to an end
Come to an end come to an
Why do all good things come to end?
Come to an end come to an
Why do all good things come to an end?

Well the dogs were barking at a new moon
Whistling a new tune
Hoping it would come soon
And the sun was wondering if it should stay away for a day til the feeling went away
And the sky was falling on the clouds were dropping and
The rain forgot how to bring salvation
The dogs were barking at the new moon
Whistling a new tune
Hoping it would come soon so that they could die.

Eddie Izzard - Cake or Death

I found a few clips of Eddie Izzard's comedy on YouTube. The funny thing about it is they are performed by Lego's. Here is a couple of my favorites:

Cake Or Death

Star Wars Cantina

My Secret Indulgence

Ok so i'm sort of a closet "The Hills" watcher. I don't really advertise it to everyone. I do share it with one of my best friends. Anyway....

When I watch "The Hills" they show the music that is playing in the background. And I have discovered some new songs that I just love. I love music and it sends my soul soaring over clouds and the like. So I am going to share with you some of the new songs that I have come to love!

Paramore: That's what you get

Carolina Liar: I'm Not Over

We The Kings: Check Yes Juliet

The Lake House

I am feeling very nastalgic right now. So I thought I'd share a bit of me. My lake house. Enjoy this tribute to one of the love's I've had in my life. I was lucky to find him and to have him now as a friend. ::shy smile::

The Homecoming Queen's got a Gun!

I am soooo glad to finally be done with that job. I was going insane! A bunch of us went out to lunch for my last day. That was fun. The day was going great. But of course some rotten person had to ruin my day! That's ok. I don't have to see them ever again if I don't want to. I am just soooo relieved to be done with that. And now to enjoy a slightly more relaxing time. I plan on cleaning the house while I am at home.

glitter-graphics.com

So yesterday I brought up the song "The Homecoming Queen's Got A Gun" by Julie Brown. They had never heard it. So I will share with you here.
